DJ Illanoiz released the ‘Black and Indigenous Solidarity’ Mix and it’s 10 minutes of no-compromise heat

Artwork for DJ Illanoiz Black and Indigenous Solidarity 10-Min Mix Hip Hop playlist, shared by Rebel Diaz. Broadcast at the Bronx Music Heritage Center event on October 15, 2020.

Hip-Hop remains committed to this work …

Captured at Thursday night’s live-streamed Bronx Music Heritage Center event, Chicago-bred DJ Illanoiz hit fans with 10 minutes of A Tribe Called Red, Sa-Roc, Supaman, Yasiin Bey, Black Thought, and a vintage underrated Queen Latifah(!) joint.

The set sends a fist-raised nod to the ancestors — indigenous to the land called “America”, and the force-scattered seeds of the African Diaspora — as well as the modern-day struggle. Set is embedded below.

Big thanks to the ever-dependable Rebel Diaz for the heads-up.
