You’ve heard by now that US Vice President Joe Biden publicly stated that members of the Gulf Cooperation Council plus Turkey have been supporting terrorists in these nations’ collective bid to overthrow Syria President Bashar Al-Assad—something many of us have been saying for a while—only to backpedal and offer an apology to Turkey and United Arab Emirates.
Biden specifically said this about Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE:
What did they do? They poured hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of tons of weapons into anyone who would fight against Assad — except that the people who were being supplied were (Jabhat) al-Nusra and al-Qaida and the extremist elements of jihadis coming from other parts of the world.
If Vice President Biden felt compelled to phone-in his apology to UAE’s Prince Mohamed bin Zayed, Biden should have asked for assistance with a problem America is having right now.
US commanders are experiencing difficulties with arming the Syrian rebels while minimizing the risk that the weapons could land in the hands of terrorists. If the GCC has been able to send more than USD 1 billion in arms and other forms of support to the Syrian rebels and magically prevent any of that aid from reaching terrorist groups operating in the same area, Prince Zayed needs to share that trick with Biden!
(Laughing) You guys need to stop.
We’re not dumb, you know…
