They have no clue of what freedom or communism looks like.
It’s time for me to address this connection some of you are making between wearing a mask during this pandemic and communism.
Communism is a system of production and distribution of goods and services.
Socialism is a system of production and distribution of goods and services.
Capitalism is a system of production and distribution of goods and services.
WEARING A MASK is NOT a system of production and distribution of goods and services.
Therefore, wearing a mask IS NOT SOCIALISM.
However, wearing a mask is a value. Arguably an AMERICAN value when you read the early writings of the Founding Fathers.

That’s why I hear Representative Jim Jordan’s rant about America’s COVID-19 mask guidelines being tyranny, and then say to myself that he sounds like the American insurrectionists who thought owning African slaves was a personal freedom under attack by the federal government, and therefore felt that an armed revolt and succession are the only solutions to protect this warped “freedom”.
The same views, through my lens, drove Confederate descendants to give overrunning the U.S. Capitol a shot.
“Freedom” to Rep. Jordan and ilk have selfishly hurt others — particularly the poor and people of color — for centuries.
If they want to know what “freedom” looks like, let them pick cotton for no wages.
Read that last sentence again. Carefully. No, read it once more. Yeah …
If America means liberty, justice, and equity — and that’s what you’re down with — wear a mask. Otherwise, stay away from people and die so that other Americans can have a fair chance at living …
