Hmph. That lawsuit …
The latest news about Lizzo ain’t surprised me — until I read the weight-shaming part.
And then you could see the mushroom cloud over my skull.
I was like — no lie — “Holy Deckard-in-the-director’s cut … ”
And then I laughed at her Replicant azz.
I became serious after that.
Folks, especially the bullied and marginalized, can often feel like they’re in a relentless battlefield, their gaze spinning a ceaseless panorama of contention.
And it sometimes becomes hard for them to separate friends from enemies.
I can’t say that I’m canceling Lizzo. But I’d be lying if I told you I’m her streaming fan. She was never down like that to my ears.
Some of her early stuff smacks of classic SOLAR vibes, so that part was chill with me. She prolly helped some young’uns expand their musical palates.
Her later stuff made me feel she was trying too hard to make a point that didn’t require a hammer to accomplish.
If Lizzo has personal dragons to slay, she should draw her sword — but watch how she swings …

I’ve never been into Ms. Lizzo, she reminds me of an aunt that I can’t stand. The weight-shaming is audacious and bananas. The rest of the accusations are not surprising.
Ha. Keeping in mind what I wrote, I haven’t discounted the possibility that perhaps she — like fam would say — “ain’t used to havin’ nothing” …
I should interview her!
